Natural Barcelona & Girona
Green Barcelona
While walking along the paths and trails of Montjuïc or Collserola you will be surprised how, through the nature that surrounds us, you can learn the origins of its construction from the millennial sediments of Montjuïc, how the ancient trees tell us how many inhabitants survived in the hardest times, what are the new flying inhabitants of the city and their impact or, while taking the most original picture of the city, you can learn why we are a Mediterranean land par excellence. Scents, flavors, textures and sounds that tell us how we are Mediterranean and how we have transformed our Barcelona nature into the culture that thousands of visitors enjoy every day.

Walking between plants in Jewish Girona
Jewish culture, as a Mediterranean culture, is full of references to the use of plants of all kinds. And the Bible, its holy book, is also a compendium of many uses that have been fundamental for more than a dozen centuries. Our daily landscape in Girona is full of herbs and flowers that tell us the story of how we have lived over time. We will discover the plants that we can find in our path and that we still use today: from herbs for the kitchen, plants to make home remedies, the origins of beauty treatments, forgotten sources of energy or the multiple spiritual uses.

Call’s natural pantry
A walk where we will follow in the footsteps of a medieval Girona cook who gathers natural ingredients for the Sabbath dish. From the courtyards of the Call to the gardens outside the walls, the city offers a large and unsuspected variety of edible and aromatic plants that are already mentioned in the Bible. We propose a different and less traveled route to see Girona from a new perspective. A walk where at each stop we will find a plant with a centuries-old tradition in the kitchen and we will see how they still survive in the recipes of modern Jewish life and you will learn how to use them.
